Ordinance 1052-17 Zoning Change Request (2nd Reading)

At the June 5, 2017 Lead City Commission meeting, the commission approved the second reading of the following ordinance with multiple changes.  The predominant change is to remove all mention of rabbits as originally proposed for the second reading.  Also removed was the limitation that allowed only domestic farm animals on owner-occupied property.

At the September 6, 2016, Lead City Commission meeting, the commission approved the following resolution:

resolution-2016-13-amending-water-rates-surcharge-modification  This resolution replaces Resolution 2016-09 and states the meter project surcharge in better language.  This new resolution separates the surcharge from the water rates, which, in Resolution 2016-09 were combined.  It also restates the current water rates, creating one document as a source of water rates for City of Lead customers.

At the September 19, 2016, Lead City Commission meeting, the commission approved the second reading of the following two ordinances:

On August 1, 2016 the Lead City Commission approved the following two resolutions that are related to the water meter replacement project.

The first resolution details the loan agreement with the SD DENR and sets a repayment plan that will require an initial surcharge of $3.10 per customer per month on water bills.  This surcharge will be continuously evaluated as the project reaches various stages.  It is scheduled to begin December 1, 2016.

Resolution 2016-09 Amending Water Rates–Surcharge

The next Lead City Commission meeting will be held September 6, 2016 at 5:00 PM at Lead City Hall, 801 West Main Street, Lead, SD.

The City of Lead will be applying for a Community Development Block Grant that will help finance the water meter replacement project and a portion of the Prospect Street Storm Water Project.  The following resolutions were approved at the March 21, 2016 Lead City Commission meeting:

In conjunction with the CDBG grant application the City of Lead will be applying for a State Revolving Fund loan from the South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources as part of the water meter project financing.  The following resolution was approved at the March 21, 2016 Lead City Commission meeting:

The City of Lead transferred monies from the General Fund to the Medical Reserve Fund, per the budget request.  This was approved at the March 21, 2016 Lead City Commission meeting:
